Hey everyone, it’s Kimberly!

In response to our recent survey, we will be dedicating time to discussing stress and mental health. Let’s face it, we live in a society that’s addicted to being busy and distracted. But taking the time to be quiet and reflective is important for our mental health.

Have you ever taken the time to assess how busy you are or how often you use electronics as a distraction? Here are five questions to ask yourself-

Am I constantly checking my phone for notifications or messages? Do I often find myself getting sidetracked by social media or other websites when I’m trying to work or study? Do I frequently multitask, such as watching TV while working or checking email during a meeting? Do I have difficulty staying focused on one task for an extended period of time? Do I feel like I’m always rushing or feeling overwhelmed by the number of things I need to do? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it’s possible that you may be experiencing some level of distraction. By recognizing these distractions, you can take steps to reduce them and create a more focused and productive environment. When we have awareness of our distrations, we can create intentional quiet time in our lives and find ways to de-stress and focus.
