Organic Whole Grain Oats (Oat Groats)
Oats are high in thiamin (0.3mg per serving) and fiber (4g per serving), two essential nutrients. They are also a good source of magnesium (71mg), zinc (1.6mg) and copper (0.3mg). Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods and low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heat disease and some cancers. With their great flavor and valuable nutrient profile, it’s clear why oats are such a popular grain.
Types of Oats
When buying oats, some people might imagine receiving common oatmeal. Whole grain oats are much different. They are more shelf-stable due to the grain being unbroken. Steel cut, rolled and instant oats are exposed and so will have a shorter shelf life.
Cooking with Whole Grain Oats (Oat Groats)
Bring one cup of oat groats, three cups of water and ¼ tsp of salt to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to a simmer for 50 minutes or until the water is absorbed.

Shipping Policy
- Orders are shipped Monday through Friday and shipping information cannot be changed once the order is submitted. Orders placed on Holidays and weekends are shipped the first business day following. Residential orders are shipped, by a shipper of our choice, and arrive generally within 1-3 business days depending on what time of the day the order is placed. Orders delivered to PO Boxes are handled by USPS and arrive generally in 2-5 business days. Customers will receive tracking information either the business day of or the first business day that follows the day the order was placed.
