Choosing Food by Color

Are you overwhelmed by the produce section? You aren’t alone! Growing up, I was raised on a meat and potatoes diet, so I had to learn how to like vegetables and fruits. One thing I like to tell my clients is if you could only choose food based on one characteristic, let it be bright colors. 

When you walk into the produce section, think of colors as phytonutrients. The phytonutrients are what feeds our body and help fight off disease and illness. 

Supplements should be used to supplement if needed and where your diet is lacking. If you’re struggling with healthy eating, remember to start slow. Your palette needs time to adjust.
